What goals do you have for our chapter? Growth is the core of what my goals for not only our chapter but our industry stem from. I would love to see our chapter membership grow. I want our chapter to be something that women feel they are growing from both professionally and personally. I think it goes without saying I want our presence as women in the construction industry to grow as well. Workforce development is near and dear to my heart. I think it is just as important to focus and empower our future workforce of women as it is to support our current workforce of women.

What do you do in your spare time? In my spare time you can find me outdoors with my family. We spend as many days as we can on the lake, whether that be on the boat in the summer or ice fishing in the winter.
Who is the most influential woman in your life & why? The most influential woman in my life is my mom. In previous years when answering this question, I talked about her resilience and how she's taught me it's not about the cards you are dealt but rather how you play them, and this past year has definitely not been an exception. She makes good out of bad situations and faces problems head on all while staying true to herself and that to me is admirable. Although my mom is the most influential woman in my life I also couldn't be where I'm at today in my career without the many women in construction before me who have cleared the trail and broke many glass ceilings.
What is your favorite building or structure in the Twin Ports/Iron Range Area? My favorite building continues to be the Rock Ridge High School. This was the first project I worked on in my career and signifies a lot of things that have lit a fire in me within this career. To me, it also represents progress and a promising future for the Iron Range which is what made me choose this career in the first place. I may be biased, but it looks pretty cool too!

What goals do you have for our chapter? Continue to promote and grow our chapter and share with the community the construction jobs available to women. I look forward to continuing our initiative of education within the schools, reaching out to even more school-age children across the Twin Ports & Iron Range. I am excited to be on the committee for our first Block Kids event and collaborating with everyone to make this a successful event.

What do you do in your spare time? I love spending time outdoors. In the winter I alpine ski and snowshoe & in the summer I spend time at our cabin on Lake Vermilion cruising on the pontoon, swimming, kayaking, and having smore's by the campfire with my husband Eric & our 13 yr old son Aiden. When not spending time outdoors I enjoy quilting and have many undone projects waiting for me to complete.

Who is the most influential woman in your life & why? My mother. She is a very selfless and strong woman. Throughout my life I have had strong role model to emulate. Her love for her family is number one and has always instilled in me that there is nothing that I cannot do.

What is your favorite building or structure in the Twin Ports/Iron Range Area?
Lincoln Park Middle School - I chose LPMS because it is my sons last year in middle school. The school is beautiful and its position high upon the hill side provides spectacular views of the Twin Ports.

What goals do you have for our chapter? I really want to see our chapter grow. We have a great core group of members that continue to contribute and support our chapter. I hope to grow our membership and participation with some amazing, hardworking, strong women.
What do you do in your spare time? My spare time is limited, but when I do find some, I enjoy spending it with my family. We love to be outside around a bonfire, listen to country music while riding on our side by side and spending the warm summer days on the lake at our newly purchased cabin.
Who is the most influential woman in your life & why? I feel through the last few years I have met so many incredible women that I can't name just one. But I do know these women are influential to me because of their perseverance, hard work, dedication to family, friends, and career, and most importantly, their kind, supportive and caring personalities. I hope to have all of these amazing attributes one day like all the great women in my life.
What is your favorite building or structure in the Twin Ports/Iron Range Area? I am in awe every time I cross over the Thomas Rukavina Bridge. It is such an incredible structure that took a ton of collaboration of many trades to come to fruition.
